Hey Yami, “if I had it all together in the first place, I wouldn’t need saving or mercy or grace.” Because we’ll always need mercy and grace, does this mean one could never have it all together? Even for a season?

Hmmm... I didn’t even think of it that way but now that you ask, I will say yes.

One portion of scripture that’s been helpful to me recently is “Give us this day our daily bread”, what it says to me is we’re meant to come for refueling on a daily basis. We don’t take the bread once and we’re done. It’s a daily process.

Also, I think our idea of having it together is maybe founded on the need for us to be in control, to be at the steering wheel, which brings me back to what I said about not needing saving if I had it all together in the first place. Even Jesus said “I can do nothing on my own but what I see the Father doing”.

We’re not called to run by ourselves but to live by the help of the Father. So I think the question shouldn’t necessarily be if I have it together but if I am in alignment. As long as I am, regardless of the turmoil and the ebbs and flows, I will be fine.

This makes sense, Yami. Thanks! 😊

And yes, alignment makes all the difference.
